We produced this video to bring attention to Rosa Moreno's plight. Rosa was finally released from custody in January of 2014, and was granted a one year stay of deportation.
This video from July of 2013 exposes Dallas ICE's practice of blanket denials of I-246 requests, which provides a stay of deportation for foreign nationals. Dallas ICE often issues blanket denials of these requests without actually considering the case of the person involved, a violation of law. In many cases, the foreign national is highly qualified for a stay of deportation, but is never given that consideration.
This video from May 2013 highlights a petition drive we started to get Yadira Verdusco released from ICE custody. She was wrongly imprisoned and treated very badly. She was eventually released on prosecutorial discretion later that year.
